Hey people! Do you know what it’s like in a Canadian court room? Well I do!
So there I am, on the computer when our teacher tells us about an interactive courtroom. I go to the site and click the English button so I could understand it. The first place I went to was the front lawn. There were people wandering what it would be like inside the big long building. I click the doors and it sends me in side. The first room you would see is the security room. It has a big metal detector that you walk through. And if it beeps, the security guard would wave a smaller metal detector over your body to find out what your hiding. If nothing happens in the big detector, you can move on. Like a airport I guess. Then you would go to the courtroom.
The courtroom is a big room with a lot of benches (like the benches in church) with a place for holy books so the accused can swear on the bible to tell the truth. It has the Canadian Coat of Arms behind were the judge sits. To his or her right, is a T.V for a surveillance tape or a witness’s camera video. The accused and his or her lawyer sit to the judges right. The press are usually in the public benches for a newspaper or the news. the public are welcome to attend the jury. The most important people are the judge, the court clerk, court reporter, crown prosecutor, and the investigating officer. The judge is the one who has to listen carefully until the jury make the decision. Guilty or non guilty. The court clerk has to prepare the court schedule and has to read the charges against the accused. She or he also has to make the witnesses or accused to swear on the bible or other holy book to tell the truth. The court Reporter has to listen to everything the accused and other people say very closely so he or she can write on her computer. The crown prosecutor works for the province or territory. Technically, she or he represents society. The investigating officer is the cop who was at the scene of the crime and collected the evidence. He or she knows all about the case and helps the crown prosecutor make sure that he or she has all the information that he or she needs to ask the accused the most important questions.
The process of a court is sometimes fair because the people are willing to wait for days until they find out if the accused is guilty or non guilty. They go through videos, a lot of question and having witnesses tell their part of the story. (Telling them what they saw.) The accused have to make an oath to tell the truth. But sometimes they all think the person is guilty, and they don’t listen when the accused is actually innocent. So technically, it’s not always fair.
So now if you need to work for the court, you know what you have to do to that job. I hope you enjoyed the post! Bye!

Hey guys! Im gonna tell you about my favorite store. It’s in Cambell river here in B.C!! it’s called River Sportsman, the largest outdoor store on Vancouver Island. It has EVERYTHING THAT IS AWESOME! If you like the outdoors as much as I do, you will have to visit this store.
It has everything you need for fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking. When you first walk in the door you are amazed by the amount of stuff they have, including the display cases of many local animals that have been stuffed for display. A black bear, a grizzly, a cougar, deer and alot of birds and fish. There are two floors, most of the fishing and hunting supplies are located on the main floor, and the hunting and camping supplies and clothing is on the upper floor.
If you are to ventur out doors here on Vancouver Island and are in need of some supplies, this is a must stop before you head out on your adventure!

I lost the ability to breathe, but I can think.
I lost the ability to hear but my mind is screaming to me.
I lost the ability to use my arms and legs, but I can wave a hello and kick a ball.
I lost the ability see, but I see the color black.
I lost the ability to listen, but I can sense someone talking to me.
I imagine a bright light! But then… I see nothing, I breath no oxygen, a bird goes right through me.
I have everything I want here. But why do I feel so alone?

What is a hero? A person who can shoot lasers out of his eyes? No!
A hero is a person who does heroic deeds and often gets rewarded for his or her bravery and courage. My dad for example. He’s a SAR tech. (Search And Rescue technician) He trains for about a year, to parachute, scuba dive, mountain climbing etc. Right now he is a SAR instructer. He’s one of the guys that trains people who want to be a SAR tech. Infact he’s coming home today from Arizona, for sky diving and parachuting traning. The main thing is that heroes are made. Not born heroes.
So now, people who here the word ‘Hero’ they wont think it’s super man or spider man. They’ll think it’s a man or woman who does things that makes them a hero.

Some people say that mother nature, is nature. Some people say that there is no mother nature, it is simply the vegetation God gives us. Well, it all true. Mother nature, is nature, but it is God who gives us the nature.
But people are littering, driving every ware Taking away the nature. Killing the animals by getting caught in pop can holders. We have to do something. I wrote a little something about how cool nature really is.
I’m sitting on a fallen tree,
listening to the breeze gently swaying the branches
on still standing trees.
The bees busily collecting pollen and bringing it back to the hive
to make sweet honey.
The birds chirping to their brothers and sisters.
My friend walks by to go to an area
so he can write a, well, a poem with no rhymes.
The Garter snakes sitting peacefully in the hot sun.
A breeze comes and the dead leaves hold on
so they don’t fly away with the wind.
It tickles my cheeks and I’m forced to scratch.
The prickly blackberry bush wait patiently
for something to get caught in its thorny trap.
I hope that one day the earth will be cleaned from litter. So we may live in a healthy environment. Be green!!

Charge! Take cover! FIRE! Flank left! Oh! Hi there! Well, some of you are thinking, what the heck I’m doing? Me and my friends are playing air soft!
Air soft is a game like paint ball, except it’s a little less painful, the ammo is small plastic round balls, other wise known as BB’s. if you get shot, there will be a small welt the size as a mosquito byte. they feel as if someone pinched you hard. I have a shotgun, a carbine and 2 pistols.
Me and my friends love to play. We have to wear protective eye glasses, because they have enough power to take your eye out! My friends don’t have blogs so i can’t link to them. the Americans have much better guns. They have sniper rifles, big machine guns and pistols with laser pointers! I heard a rumor that they even have a RPG gun! (RPG is a type of bazooka) I want a UZI or a MP40 but my mom say there to expensive.
If you have a air soft gun, comment and tell me what it is! All right then! GAME ON! he’s flanking! get him! look out!… We win!

Hi! You remember my friend Austin right? well, me and him LOVE to go explore creeks, rivers, and forests. You know, just to go see whats there. Well, just the other day me Austin and I went to explore Hobson river. A river here in Comox Valley. We had a great time. In that particular river, there are a lot of fallen logs over the really deep parts. Oh and did I mention, there not fallen into the river, there over it! Yeah there about 4 metres over the stream so if we fall… DUN DUN DUH!! we get wet and most likely hurt but we still think its amusing.
You know when a creek crosses with a road, so the put those metal tunnels under the road so the creek can keep going on the other side? We crawl in those to the other side! It’s SO fun! When we got to the other side we were about to crawl out when we noticed that there was a meter drop in the deepest part of any creek we ever explored! so we had to be very careful that when we jumped onto something that’s not wet, we didn’t fall in. Which we didn’t! HA! Take that Mother Nature!:)
When we were about to leave there was a house, like, right off the creek. There was a guy planting and stared at us. We thought he would say something like: Hey! This is private property! What’s your phone number!? But instead he said in a really calm voice ” Uh Guys this is private property. I will let you go through right now but next time I will have to ask for your phone number ” So we were pretty happy that the guy wasn’t a spaz and be all angry and stuff.
Now, we don’t know which stream to go explore:( But we will find one! No stream/creek can hide from… Daniel and Austin!! WE WILL FIND YOU UNEXPLORED CREEK!! Oh did I type that out loud? Anyway…
BYE!!

Well, first off, I got this blog post idea from Sue Waters post called The Edubbloger’s Student Competition.
Blogging has helped me at home to be more social with people because I write posts and share them with people all over the world so I’ve gotten a lot less shy with people and I talk more (some people think that’s not good, like at school, but others are more happy, like at my house) Now, I’m almost as social as my friend Austin. Let’s just say he talks more than most people:)
At school, blogging has helped me type much faster cause before I was really slow at typing. It’s also helped me a lot in my grammar. Now I know how to spell words I’ve always needed help with! And I know were to put apostrophes and stuff like that.
So, how has blogging affected you? Comment and tell me! Bye!

Hi! Today at school we had a concert of grade 9-12 students from a high school come over and played music for us. There was a clarinet, a whole bunch of trumpets and guitars! But my favorite instrument there was the drums.
There loud. There big. There the BEST! I love the rhythm. If you came to my school, you would probably here me bang something with my hands or 2 sticks I’ve wanted to play one since kindergarten. But I never even played one note on it. And I’m in grade 6! The day I get to Isfeld ( The high school ) I’m gonna sine up for band club. Drums are the best instrument iv ever seen or heard! I will play them if it kills me!! Uh… I will play the drums if it hurts me… heh… yeah… Bye!

this could be your coffin!
1. don’t play with fire
2. Dont’ tick off a bear
3. Don’t talk to people with a hockey mask and a chain saw, he might hurt you
4. Don’t dive in a pond filled with rabid cherry flavoured frozen jelly fishes
5. Don’t seek help from a guy named Brayden
6. Dont’ think you have super powers and fight some villain
7. Don’t make the neighborhood squirrels mad
8. Don’t smoke
9. Don’t attempt to fly
10. Don’t die
I got this idea from Sophie
