Today we saw a video in class called “All I Need” and “The Girl Effect”. I think I have to much stuff, and am lucky to be living in a house. The kids in poverty have dirty clothes, a job to make shoes, and sleep in a alley. I have a bed, a paper route, clean clothes, electricity, and a roof over my head. I dont think these kids have a school, but if they did I think they dont get enough of it.

    Hi Daniel,
My name is Tracy and I am writing to you from Montreal, Quebec. It’s nice to see that you wrote on Blog Action Day. Poverty is something that we can forget about very easily if we are not poor. I think you are on to something when you write, ” I dont think these kids have a school, but if they did I think they don’t get enough of it.” How do you thing going to school can make someone less poor?

I also wrote on Blog Action Day, here: http://leadingfromtheheart.org/2008/10/15/what-do-i-know-about-poverty-blog-action-day/

    Hey Daniel,
Poverty sure is a big social issue in Canada.
Do know how many people are living in poverty in the Comox area?
    From Becca’s mom.

    Hey Daniel,
this is so sad how people in this world have to live like that. It’s so crule how people can’t eat the right food or even sleep in a warm place.
